"Gary decided he needed to spend a bit more time with his family, after losing a family member and I didn't know whether or not to close the business or to carry on." Says Rhys, Owner of Balloonatics "So I spoke to my other half, Sam and we decided to carry it on" Rhys operates his business from an Office on Pride Park and prepares the majority of the work in a converted Garage at his house in Sawley. "The biggest thing about the Balloon Decorating is that the inflating of the Balloons has to be done on-site at the Wedding Venue to ensure that they are the correct heights and that they are fresh." Explains Rhys. Rhys also operates a couple of other businesses from his offices on Pride Park, Derby and his previous role was a Marketing Manager for a large Motor Dealer Group "Coming from a Marketing Position, enabled me to spend our advertising monies in the correct way, we have implemented many of the Social Networking sites into our Marketing Plans and this is working incredibly well. We have also joined the Wedding Professionals Network, I feel that this has helped me no end in gaining extra business, but not only that. I have seen so many of the members over the last 10 years stand at the Wedding Fayres, and only said a quick hello! This Networking group is great a I am getting to know the members and I feel more confident in passing over referrals." In 2004, Rhys and Gary left a local Balloon and Party Shop and decided that their favourite part of this previous job, was the Balloon Decorating and the Venue Decorations, so Balloonatics was born. 6 Years on Rhys has decided to go it alone, with his partner Samantha and offer his Professional Balloon Decorating to all.Latest News
