The Derby Weddings website has now gone live to the public, following a successful trial to a select few. Derby Weddings is an online Wedding Directory offering Wedding Services and Wedding Venues the chance to add their details with a weblink for Free of Charge.

The idea came from Rhys Adams, who has worked in the Wedding Industry for the last 10 years, doing Balloon Decoratin. "My partner, Samantha and I got engaged a year last Christmas and we couldn't find a website that just focused on the Wedding Services and Venues in the Derby and Nottingham area" commented Rhys "The only directory websites, we could find were national players with 1 or 2 local companies listed"

Rhys is no stranger to business and already has 5 very successful businesses in the Derby Area covering Contract Hire and Leasing, Forklift Training, Sameday Couriers and New and Nearly New Vehicle Sales. "I'm very lucky to be self employed, especially in the current climate." Says Rhys "The businesses have taken a major blow, and we have had to diversify what we do to maintain avenue streams. A lot of this has been by keeping things like Web Design and SEO in-house or by spending a little more money on technology to reduce future costs, but by investing in Derby Weddings it wasn't about the money making, it was trying to promote the 'local' businesses."

Derby Weddings offers 2 levels of listings. The 'Free' listing includes company name, address, telephone number, logo and most importantly a weblink. The 'Enhanced' listing starts at only £34.99 per year and includes all of the above but in addition companies receive a gallery with up to 10 images, a separate page with its own Meta Data (Very important for SEO), Twitter and Facebook Fan links, and much more.
